Project Introduction

This bathroom renovation in Kerrisdale, South Vancouver involved rebuilding the existing shower area, adding custom storage, and creating a custom vanity with countertops.

TILEMART supplied the tiles for this project, including Italian tiles imported directly from Italy. The finished space combines large-format stone-look tiles with a pebble-style shower floor and custom wood-look cabinetry.

The Bathroom Renovation

The bathroom was updated with a new walk-in shower and glass enclosure, giving the shower area a cleaner and more open appearance.

Large-format grey tiles were used on the walls, creating a cohesive stone-inspired finish throughout the shower and surrounding areas. The pebble-style shower floor adds natural texture and provides a subtle contrast to the larger wall tiles. 

The renovation also included custom storage and a new vanity, making better use of the available space while adding warmth through the wood-look cabinetry.

The shower was rebuilt as a custom walk-in design with a glass enclosure and built-in bench.

The large-format wall tiles give the shower a streamlined appearance with fewer visible grout lines, while the pebble-style floor creates a natural contrast against the grey walls.

Custom Vanity & Bathroom Storage

Storage was an important part of the renovation.

A custom wood-look storage cabinet was built into the bathroom to provide dedicated space for everyday items while making use of an otherwise limited area.

The project also included a custom vanity with countertops. The warm wood finish works well with the cooler grey tones of the surrounding tile and creates a balance between the cabinetry and the stone-inspired surfaces.

Italian Tiles Imported by TILEMART

The tile selection was an important part of this renovation. TILEMART supplied the tiles used in the bathroom, including Italian tiles imported directly from Italy.

Large-format stone-look tiles were used on the bathroom walls, creating the main visual backdrop for the shower and vanity areas. A smaller pebble-style tile was used on the shower floor to introduce a different texture and scale.

The combination of the two tile styles gives the bathroom more visual depth while keeping the overall palette consistent.
